Answer:

Managing your soaking wet gear after a hot yoga class is a logistical challenge every practitioner faces. The key is to isolate the moisture and prevent it from turning into mildew before you have a chance to do laundry. The best solution is to use a waterproof 'wet bag.' These bags are specifically designed for this purpose. They are typically made from a waterproof or water-resistant material, like PUL (polyurethane laminate), and have sealed seams to ensure that no moisture escapes. You can put your drenched towel and clothes inside, seal it up, and place it in your regular gym bag without worrying about getting everything else (your wallet, phone, a dry change of clothes) soaking wet. These bags also do a great job of containing the odor. If you don't have a dedicated wet bag, a simple plastic grocery bag can work in a pinch, but it's not a durable or leak-proof long-term solution. Whatever you use, the most important step is to unpack your wet gear as soon as you get home. Do not leave it festering in your bag overnight. Hang your towel and clothes to dry if you can't wash them immediately, as this will prevent the growth of mildew and bacteria that cause persistent odors.
